This film was really funny and that, as well as insight into this absolutely wild strategy a less-money-laden team pulled to compete with the big spenders, and even just the day-to-day mechanics of baseball team management, not coaching but the employment and trading of team members, combine to make it a very interesting film. Don’t know if it really needed to be a film, I think I may actually read the book it’s based on.
