Murder on the Orient Express

I forgot to review this when I watched it so I’m working from my rusty, middle-aged memory here, at least as well as I can. But from my notes, I can say: it had some great shots. The setting lent well to a great ice and steel look, and despite the claustrophobic nature of a train, they found some good excuses for dramatic wide shots. I loved the cast: so many different personalities, each with tragic backstories that gradually unfolded to cast doubt upon their innocence. I think our hero was wanting for emotional significance in the arc, especially for the passion he displays in the climax. It just felt somewhat mismatched. Very entertaining, however, with an ending of delicious moral ambiguity.
