This film is not entirely impressive, but I rather liked it. There were a lot of tiny things I loved: it had some great visual storytelling (shot of empty crib); the animation of the mythos sequence was so stylish I wanted the whole film to be told as such; the visual and especially audio style of the big monstrous baddies; the climactic music rules; there were a lot of small touches such as these that were awesome, and in general the film was touching and entertaining. I greatly appreciated the TRUST REQUIRES TRUSTING message of the whole thing. But overall, it was just okay.
