The Batman 2022

I thought the sound and music design in this film were its greatest strengths, by far. There was some cool camera work too: very voyeuristic, and the cinematography occasionally tread the line of cool and stylish, but then it felt like they had two editors with opposite sensibilities about how a Batman film should look. It’s kind of a weird story, I’ll admit, but deals with some more interesting consequences of vigilantism in the always-online era.

I’ve never seen Paul Dano in a serious role, and, admittedly, playing a madman may not really count as “serious,” but I liked him as the Riddler.
