So this move did have some really cool cinematography and editing. The opening scene is an example of that and there are some other cool compositings of effects. But the story was so utterly confused. It all wraps up pretty efficiently, if abruptly, but the plot runs all over the place so often, so many lines of narrative are just dropped as they begin to get interesting (as they begin to seem like they may lead to answers about the mysterious world and characters) that the whole thing is kind of a slog of disappointments. It had a pretty cool soundtrack, but I can’t praise the sound work too much because of a persistent narrative antagonist who proves a persistent aural antagonist for the viewer.
