I planned and executed internal and public-facing events for volunteer recruitment and retention.

I ran monthly late night festivals for students that included fun house rides and inflatables, arts and crafts, concerts, film screenings, comedians, competitions and more. Average attendance was ~1500, with peak at close to 3000. I achieved this by recruiting and training around two dozen volunteers to manage their own volunteer teams. We also created three new ongoing event series.

I worked with a diverse set of volunteers to clear invasive plants and propagate native specimens to restore such disturbed sites. I also taught plant identification classes all year round based on seasonal characteristics, and wrote all the copy for the weekly newsletter. Part of my role in plant propagation included writing software to manage synchronizing a nursery inventory list.
